BIOGRAPHY

Korean Pianist Chewon Park has performed in Korea and the United States as a solo pianist and as a chamber musician.  She has won various concerto competition in Korea as well as a gold medal at the National Exhibit Piano Competition.  She has appeared as soloist with the Daegu MBC Orchestra, Venusto Symphony Orchestra, Daegu Symphony Orchestra. The talented musician also has been worked as a professional accompanist. She was first selected for an accompanist of many studios, especially string department, when she was 18 year-old. She has been up and working as a professional accompanist for over 13 years. Chewon is also a dedicated educator and has taught at the YeungNam University in Korea where she received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance under the instructions of Gyula Kiss, Junie Cho, Vladmir Shakin, and Larisa Smeshiko. She also has been coached ensemble and chamber music by E-jung Kim. Chewon began her musical journey to the United States at the Pennsylvania State University receiving her Professional performance Certificate under the tutelage of Christopher Guzman.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in collaborative piano at the New England Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Pei-Shan Lee to continue developing her passion for chamber music. Chewon also serves as a Accompanist at the New England Conservatory of Music Preparatory School.
